Turmeric Macadamia Butter

As deliciously addictive as they may be, many of our favourite store-bought dips are loaded with added vegetable oils, flavourings, and additives. Making a healthy, homemade dip is simpler than you think. In this recipe, Hannah from Healthy Luxe has used just 4 ingredients to make this tasty Turmeric Macadamia Butter.

With their subtle, butter-like flavour and creamy texture, macadamia nuts are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, vitamins, minerals, and fibre and low in carbs and sugar. They pair perfectly with our Raw Golden Latte, a warming blend of the Ayurvedic herbs Turmeric, Mesquite, Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger and Black Pepper. Distinguished by its vibrant colour and powerful antioxidant properties, Turmeric contains a flavonoid called curcumin, which helps to decrease inflammation in the body.

Hannah has added a pinch of salt for flavour and a few tablespoons of coconut oil to blend. Known for its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, coconut oil is a rich source of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), a type of saturated fat. These provide a quick supply of energy, boast antimicrobial and antifungal effects, and may even help increase the number of calories your body burns.

Simply combine all ingredients in a blender until you’ve reached the desired consistency. Store in an air-tight jar in the fridge and it’ll keep for approximately 7 days. It’s the perfect addition to a charcuterie platter or added to your favourite avocado toast.
