If you haven’t tried Halva before, you’re in for a real treat with this one! Halva is a traditional Middle Eastern fudge-like dessert made from tahini, sugar, spices and nuts. In this recipe, Healthy Luxe has recreated the nutty dessert – but with a healthy twist!
Introducing your new addiction: Pistachio Halva Ice Cream Cake. But wait, there’s more. It’s also packed with protein thanks to the addition of Amazonia’s Raw Protein Paleo Fermented in creamy Vanilla Lucuma flavour.
This delicious vegan, grain-free formula provides 22g of sprouted and fermented pea protein per serve plus a comprehensive amino acid profile. It also contains digestive enzymes and a range of cultured superfoods to promote inner wellness, including Sacha Inchi, spirulina, spinach, quinoa and chia seeds.
To create the creamy ice cream slice, Healthy Luxe has used a combination of soaked cashews and pistachios, coconut yoghurt, maple syrup, olive oil and hulled tahini. Pistachio Halva Ice Cream Cake
Dessert & Snacks
1 cup cashews (soaked for 1-2 hours)
1 cup pistachios (soaked for 1-2 hours)
1 cup coconut yoghurt
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup hulled tahini
20g Amazonia Raw Protein Paleo Fermented Vanilla Lucuma
Place all ice cream ingredients in.a high speed blender, blend until smooth (this may take a few minutes).
Spoon into a greased and lined spring form cake tin. Freeze overnight.
Remove from freezer approximately 10 - 15 minutes before ready to serve.
Slice and top with extra pistachios (optional), enjoy!
