5 Winter Warming Drinks

During the colder months, there's nothing quite like wrapping your hands around a cup of something warm and delicious! Here are our favourite Winter warming drinks, from an anti-inflammatory golden turmeric latte, a soul-warming tea, to a healthy hot chocolate.

Golden Turmeric Latte

Turmeric has been the talk of the superfood world for quite a while now, and with good reason. This easy latte is perfect to warm up and get an anti-inflammatory boost.

Ingredients

  • 1 serve Amazonia Golden Latte
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup of coconut or any nut milk
  • Optional: maple or rice malt syrup

Method

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan on low heat. Simmer for 3 minutes and remove, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.

Golden Latte

Creamy Tea Latte

Adding a frothed nut milk into your daily cup of tea takes it to the next level making it the perfect, creamy and satisfying morning or afternoon snack. Our tea bag selections consist of English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chai or Herbals.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tea Bag
  • Hot water (80% boiling and 20% cold water)
  • 1 cup of coconut or any nut milk
  • Optional: maple or agave syrup

Method

Add tea bags into a cup or pot of hot water with sweetener if using and steep until desired strength. While the tea is brewing, steam or froth milk using an espresso maker, foamer or even blended quickly. Add the foamed milk on top of the tea and serve.

 

Spiced Hot Cacao

Enjoy this healthy take on this winter classic full of antioxidants, spices and ayurvedic herbs. Perfect as a decadent treat, snack or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 serve Amazonia Spiced Cacao
  • 2 squares of dark, high-quality chocolate
  • 1 cup of coconut or any nut milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut sugar or chosen sweetener

Method

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan on low heat. Simmer for 3 minutes, stirring gently until the chocolate has melted completely. Serve immediately, dust with extra powder or spices if desired! Spiced Cacao Latte

Lemon Water

Lemon water is ideal for a quick healthy, detoxing drink easy to take on the go to enjoy all day. Best enjoyed warm it can assist in digestion, metabolism and is great for your immune system.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1 or ½ a fresh cut lemon

Method

Simply add the juice of the lemon to a cup of warm water. Try adding a slice of fresh ginger or teaspoon of apple cider vinegar for extra health benefits!

 

Warm Vitamin C Tonic

Ingredients

  • 1 serve Amazonia Raw Nutrients Vitamin C
  • 1 cup of warm water (80% boiling and 20% cold water)
  • ½ juice of a lemon or orange
  • 1 piece grated fresh ginger
  • 1 sprinkle of cayenne pepper
  • Optional: maple or agave syrup

Method

Simply add the ingredients to a cup of warm water, stir till dissolved and enjoy! All-natural sweeteners, plant-based milk and extra spices can be easily swapped and changed to your liking, get creative!
